The viewer has been designed to be as easy to read as possible even when viewing in 3D as well.

    *1 About technology preview functions
Technology preview functions are released for users to test out before the official release. They may change when they are officially released.

*2 Regarding the end of providing export functions for Kindle publishing on macOS:
From Ver. 1.9.1, the Kindle Publishing format .mobi will be unavailable on Clip Studio Paint on macOS. In macOS 10.15, planned to be released in fall 2019, 32-bit applications will no longer be supported. Clip Studio Paint uses the application KindleGen provided by Amazon Services International, Inc. to export e-book data (.mobi) for Kindle publishing. KindleGen is a 32-bit application, and according to Amazon Services International, Inc., there are no plans for a 64-bit application. Regrettably, this means we will no longer be able to offer this function on macOS. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we appreciate your understanding.
If you are using macOS, please use the File menu > Export multiple pages > Export EPUB data from now on. We have added a new option to export for the Kindle format. Files will now be exported in EPUB format, which is optimized for the Kindle format. You will be able to access your past Kindle format files in Clip Studio.

Vivid light, Linear light, Pin light, Hard mix, Exclusion, Darker color, Lighter color, Division, Hue, Saturation, Color, Brightness

    Normal

The set layer is simply placed on top of the layer below.

    Pin light

Blends by replacing colors in the image depending on the colors in the set layer.

    Exclusion

The less bright color values are subtracted from the brighter color values and the difference is displayed, but the colors are blended with a lower contrast.

    Hue

The hue of the set layer is applied while maintaining the brightness and saturation of the layer below.

    Division

The RGB values of the layer below are divided by the brightness of the set layer.

    Brightness

The brightness of the set layer is applied while maintaining the hue and saturation values of the layer below.

    Fast view

    Improvements to Manipulators

*3D materials that you have added or created by yourself prior to this update can still be used, but they will be handled on a different layer from 3D data in the new format, and the two types cannot be linked. General 3D data such as lwo and obj files will be loaded in the same layer as the new format and can be operated in the same way as the new format.

    File size reduced EXPRO

Saving of monochrome layers has been optimized. The file size of monochrome works is now 10-20% smaller than standard works.
