Submit your work for a chance to win a cash prize, creative software, pen display tablet and even a chance for your artwork to be featured in media publications! Submission Criteria

Theme: Gift
You can submit artwork made with any digital or traditional tool or software. If you create your submission using traditional tools, please submit a digital scan of the artwork.

Comic Category
  • An original color or black-and-white comic of 8–48 pages
  • Webtoon style comics are also accepted (min. 30 panels, max. 690 x 20,000 pixels)
  • You can submit comics in any language.
  • However, you may get more likes if your comic is in English or another language understood by many people.
  • Accepted file formats: PNG, JPEG, CLIP (CLIP STUDIO format), less than 32MB per page
  • You can create your comic in any size, but we recommend using 300 dpi resolution for color comics and 600 dpi for black-and-white comics.
Illustration Category
  • An original color illustration
  • Accepted file formats: PNG or JPG format, less than 5MB.
  • You can create an illustration in any size, but we recommend A4 illustrations at 300dpi (2480 x 3508 pixels).

Entry Rules

  • Artists are free to use any art medium to create their submission. Submissions must be unpublished original artworks that have not won other contests and must be suitable for all ages. (You may submit artwork that has been published in fanzines or on websites that do not offer compensation for artwork.)
  • Contest entries will be posted online. Please be aware that entries will be displayed online and that supporting companies may contact you to display the artwork in their media.
  • The winning entries may be used in promotional materials for CELSYS, Inc and collaborating companies.
  • Text within entries may be translated into other languages to present the artwork to an international audience.
  • The following cases are not eligible for submission or judging.
    • - Content that infringes on copyright or intellectual property.
    • - Offensive or upsetting content.
    • - Other entries may be deemed inadmissible by the organizer. In such cases, the reasons for exclusion will not be given.
  • Entries will be displayed via Facebook in order of submission after the contest organizers have reviewed them. (May 16 update: Comic entries will now be published on the Clip Studio website.)
  • Pen name, school name, country and artwork title will be shown alongside each artwork.
  • “Manga” contest entries should be submitted with all dialogue on a separate later so that winning entries can be easily translated. Please save your files with layers intact and without flattening the image.
  • A single applicant may submit multiple entries to each category.
  • Celsys may send information about sponsor companies to the school email address provided when registering.

How to Apply

A teacher must register on behalf of the school or program to receive a school ID for submitting contest entries. Students will need to enter this school ID when submitting their artwork.
